Listening to news coverage of the newly discovered mass of masters paintings in Germany...journalists and art enthusiasts keep referring to them as "Paintings". When I hear that word I think of what I do and many current career artists. That these are paintings, painted with a brush on canvas and start out as some guy painting a picture. Who would ever imagine either 300 years ago or now that a single painting could be worth millions and be stolen, auctioned, hidden, coveted, sought after, fought over, sued over, murdered over, en car created over, cried over, laughed over, detectives hired to find, museums spend millions to seek out and aquire, etc, etc.
My point is that many people poopoo an artist they see sitting there doing a work, poopoo them as just an artist. Just a silly goof off who should go get a job.
My msg to all is: when you see an artist try to have some respect, and when you see a painting that moves you...buy it. even if you have to finance the purchase...it will be worth it. for many reasons.

The Pine Tree Painter.
How did I become known as the Pine Tree Painter? You could say I paint a lot of Pine Trees, that would be true. I paint a lot of other things too, but Pine Trees, Spruce Trees, Birch and others seem to be a continuous string in what i do. I just like the way they stand there like a custodian of the land. or a greeter to nature. So, I continue down the path with the Pine Tree Painter name on my head, It's ok.
