As many of you now know, this artist is entering a major transition phase of his life. I am leaving the comfort zone, stepping out of the security of the Corp world to try my wings as a full time self employed artist. In my heart I am confident and beleive the future will, with it's normal hardships in consideration, be pretty exciting. To date I have been able to produce about one new oil painting each week. There are plenty of times when I wish I had more time to devote to painting so that I can raise the bar of quality and service to my Clients/Patrons, that time is now fast approaching. I am virtually staring over the edge of the boat of security and getting ready to walk on the water.
In an effort to allow myself to be a bit transparent to my patrons I am blogging about my feelings and experiences through the process. I am also thinking of my children. All through my life I always wondered about decisions that my Father took as he raised us and moved through his career. What motivated him? What were his feelings through different phases of our life? Through this blog I am thinking of my children and how they one day will ask the same questions.
Total Daddy am I.

The Pine Tree Painter.
How did I become known as the Pine Tree Painter? You could say I paint a lot of Pine Trees, that would be true. I paint a lot of other things too, but Pine Trees, Spruce Trees, Birch and others seem to be a continuous string in what i do. I just like the way they stand there like a custodian of the land. or a greeter to nature. So, I continue down the path with the Pine Tree Painter name on my head, It's ok.
