On this page I present my "people paintings" my humble attempts at paintings of portraits of people I  felt compelled to paint. In oils and watercolours. Its a whimsical effort, and as my work evolves over time I suggest that they are much like my landscape paintings, they do not attempt to be old world classical style portraits, but rather, abstract renditions. Its who I am and these are my honest attempts.

Robert paints "people paintings" from time to time. To see more like this please click on the image.

People Paintings

Along the path of painting over 45+ years I have attempted to do the occasional one which includes people. Hung up on detail I was never able to feel confident enough to show my paintings to anyone. Not until recently when I decided to dispense detail and create my works in a more general and loose method. The faces are not important as the mood of the scene and the story that it tells. In this way I make the story of each painting available to all to identify with.
I hope you enjoy what I like to call my excursion on a parallel road to my landscape paintings. not a departure, just an excursion.
Enjoy!
