Artist note:
This canvas has been on and off my easel a number of times. Striving to reach a point of total satisfaction for me. It depicts a huber of worn trees along the shores known as Pebble Beach on Lake Superiors North Shore. Battered and blown by time and weather these amazing formations are a testament to the enduring character of life in the far north.

The North Shore Story

In March of 2013 I took my first solo trip from Whitby, Ontario all the way up through Sudbury and on to Thunder Bay along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Words cannot describe. Power, vast, Blue, White, Big, Great, Deep, etc, etc, etc. I was awestruck at her beauty, the Lake they called Gitchigoomie. I will let the paintings tell their own stories.
