I have to admit, like most people my initial reaction in seeing Ken in his hospital Bed was pretty sad and shocked. One day Mr energy and the next motionless. I think Ken knew that and got the same reaction from most of the visitors that dropped in. Right from the get go he set me right. "I don't need or want sympathy, it's the last thing I need right now. What I need is to be positive!"
Over the next few weeks and now months I learned first hand not only how real a stroke is for many people but also how NOT to handle one. Ken has been the most shining example of how negativity is only destructive and being positive is the only way to go. To make good out of any negative is the new normal.
Ken is truly a Man in Motion. I predict in full confidence that I will play drums beside him on his Bass guitar in the near future. Mark my words.
I could go on and on about this but you are advised to click on the image above as it links to the newspaper article covering his amazing story. Then come back here to leave your comments if you wish.
For me the Newspaper article says it all.
